SanPhil Legacy Foundation was founded by Kricia Jones — a registered nurse, community builder, and lifelong advocate for families.
Raised in an underserved community, Kricia witnessed firsthand how unstable housing and limited resources shape the lives of children and families. Those early experiences shaped her deep commitment to service and fueled her passion for creating lasting change.
Through her work in healthcare and community support, she saw the same patter repeated everywhere she served: families didn’t just need temporary help — they needed stability, safe homes, and real opportunities to thrive.
SanPhil Legacy was created to meet that need.
Today, Kricia leads with a clear mission: build strong foundations for families, strengthen communities, and create lasting stability for generations to come.
Service isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am.
Because strong families build strong communities.

SanPhil Legacy didn’t begin as a business plan - it began with family.
Kricia comes from a legacy of educators, caregivers, builders, and servants rooted in Northwest Indiana.
Her grandparents dedicated their lives to education, shaping generations of students in the Hammond School District. Her father worked in the Gary steel mills, representing the strength, discipline, and work ethic that built the city. Her mother served families for decades as a CNA, caring for others with compassion and dignity.
These values — education, hard work, service, and community — weren’t just taught.
They were lived daily.
Today, those same principles guide SanPhil Legacy’s mission: strengthening families, empowering communities, and building lasting stability for the next generation.
SanPhil isn’t just an organization.
It’s legacy in motion.
Courtney is a union carpenter with more than 25 years of hands-on construction and renovation experience. He helps lead SanPhil Legacy’s housing and community development work with a focus on quality, safety, and long-term impact.
Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Courtney began his career working alongside his father, learning discipline, craftsmanship, and pride in a job done right. Over the years, he has completed residential rehabs, multifamily renovations, housing authority projects, park improvements, and community builds that strengthen neighborhoods from the ground up.
From restoring family homes to supporting nonprofits and public spaces, Courtney approaches every project with precision, care, and integrity.
At SanPhil Legacy, he leads property revitalization and development initiatives, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and long-term impact.
His belief is simple: well-built homes build stronger families and stronger communities.
